Clarks Originals

Clarks was established in 1825 by Cyrus and James Clarke, two brothers from Somerset who first made a slipper out of the off-cuts from rugs manufactured in Cyrus’ tannery. Clarks most iconic silhouette, the Desert Boot, was designed by Nathan Clark (great-grandson of James Clark) in 1950. Based on an unlined suede boot profile produced in the bazaars of Cairo and worn by British officers in the Second World War.
