The next installment of the Weavers Door 'Experimental Jazz Series' with the Anti Social Jazz Club (ASJC) sees us join forces with our good neighbours at The Cavern Club to celebrate their 60th anniversary as the most famous club in the world. A fitting collaboration with The Cavern's ethos of championing past, present and future makes for a fitting collaboration with the Weavers Door x  Anti Social Jazz Club (ASJC) 'Experimental Jazz Series' in celebrating The Cavern Club's humble beginnings as a jazz club when it opened its original doors in 1957. During its jazz days The Cavern Club presented the likes of The Merseysippi Jazz Band, Kenny Ball’s Jazzmen, Ronnie Scott and Tubby Hayes to name just a few.

To celebrate The Cavern's rich jazz history next Wednesday, Weavers Door and Anti Social Jazz Club present contemporary jazz quintet artephis and hypnotic jazz from Liverpool's Ranga & Harambe as well as a vinyl DJ set by Anti Social Jazz Club and Wide Open residents.

The Manchester-based five piece artephis lead by James Girling (Guitar) alongside Aaron Wood (Trumpet), Ali Roocroft (Piano), Alasdair Simpson (Bass) and Matt Brown (Drums) will be performing their upcoming debut album due to be released Summer 2017.

This event is taking place on Wednesday 7th June 2017 at The Cavern Club Liverpool. Doors 8pm. Free entry.
