It was rumoured not all too long ago that one of our favourite online magazines Halcyon Magazine were to release a printed publication featuring all that we need to know, love to see and want to read about when it comes to sport, style, sounds, screen plus much more. So having just received the first issue in store it's a case of came, saw and conquered with the warm welcome of this new magazine which has a humble ethos of covering "everything from the excitement that can be found in grass roots football, catching up with the next bright hope of British boxing or exploring quality tailoring" Halcyon Magazine aims to give all this content in a modest, unpretentious manner and style. Seeing as most of us are simply interested in sports, clobber and music it's a formula which we are very happy to see in a magazine where the focus is to please the regular man, whether it be because he enjoys his sports reports and match day banter, following his favourite and local bands and artists or what wares he's looking to invest in next and not just because its meant to be 'on trend'.

Inside the first issue, there's an interview with WBC World Super-Middleweight boxing champion Carl Froch, a natter with DJ and music mogul Phat Phil Cooper, a quick pint with former Zuton Dave McCabe and a great introduction to the Liverpool band The Loud who we can safely say not only have a great sound going on but also know a thing or two about dressing well.

The first issue of the Halcyon Magazine is available from the store as well as other friendly collections in Manchester, Nottingham and no doubt more to come. Visit Halcyon Magazine online to read up further and there's always the social side, find them on facebook and twitter. For anyone who can't make it to the store and use the website let us know if you place an order and we will slip an issue in for some good reading over the Christmas and New Year period. Enjoy....
