Weavers Door Journal Issue 2

05/02/2013 15:08

As some of you may already know we have recently released the second issue of our store's Journal. For those of you who aren't familiar with the Journal it is a way for us to present the brands and places we champion as a store and a way for us to bring together the independent community within Liverpool. The contents of each issue is written, photographed and illustrated by the workers in store and the customers who have helped build Weavers Door into what it is today.

Inside this issue of the journal we have been fortunate enough to work with some brilliant photographers, illustrators and artists. A particular highlight of this issue is our exclusive interview with Weavers Door regular, Bosco a.k.a SertOne, a brilliant local musician who is making quite a splash on the local and international music scene. Having recently released his Sweekers EPs under the moniker CL Moons, as well as releasing his first ever Vinyl last month, 2013 has been a busy year for Bosco so far. His music has been featured on a number of prestigious music sites including the likes of XLR8R and Fact Magazine. Tipped as one of the artists to look our for by the Sunday Times, the only way is up for Bosco and his future is looking very promising!

We were also lucky enough to have a quick bite to eat in HOST on Hope Street, where we were treated to some spectacular food and drink. With their brilliant decor and vibrant food, we were spoilt for choice when presented with their rather fantastic menu.

Rather than spoiling the rest of the content of the journal why not have a look and see what gems we've uncovered!

I would also like to extend my thanks to everyone who helped produce this issue of the journal as if it wasn't for those who were willing to give up their spare time in order to help us produce this publication we wouldn't have been able to bring it to life!

Spring/Summer 13 is very much a case of Norse strikes again, our Danish friends who are based in Copenhagan never fail to disappoint when it comes to well curated, all rounded collection. With the Spring/Summer collection due to arrive with us this coming week, we thought it fitting to offer a taster as to what to expect from the great Danes. Keeping to their ongoing ethos of simplicity and function in all their collection's designs a neat balance of simple, practical outerwear, lightweight knits and shed loads of nice jersey makes for happy times all round providing we actually get some warm weather this year. While some of our wardrobe staples remain in the collection such as the ELKA raincoat and a array of  5 panel caps this season see's some nice move on's and lots of new styles hitting the rails very soon. In particular a great selection of printed shirts which we are looking forward to getting our hands on.

The Norse Projects 13 Lookbook was styled by Stephen Mann and shot by Sacha Maric. To keep an eye of the latest arrivals to Weavers Door your best following us on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram. Alternatively keep checking the Norse Projects brand page for the latest and greatest products.

It's Spring time yet again, the weather is showing hopeful signs of improvement but don't be deceived by the sunshine, its still cold in the shade. So when it comes to the change of season so does the assessment of everyone's wardrobe. We can honestly say if there's any gaps missing there's no need to panic by the look of the Spring/Summer 2012 clobber offering by our Danish friends at Norse Projects. A firm favourite in the Weavers Door family, Norse have up'ed it again with their consistent base of quality basics and clean silhouettes, inspired by streetwear staples and classic European design, there's something/s for everyone this Summer, with the ever faithful Anton Oxford Shirt, a arsenal of jersey and the Elka Raincoat, come rain or shine, our favourite scandinavians have it sorted.
